The house that is now a restaurant called Patrenella’s was originally built in 1938 by L.L. Patrenella. The Sammy Patrenella, his wife and children lovingly renovated the home where he was raised to create a historic landmark place people can go to have an amazing meal.
Sammy grew up helping his immigrant father run their family grocery store which was about a block away from the house. Sammy’s mother and father would create original Italian dishes and give samples to their customers.
Patrenella’s has a one-acre garden they use to harvest some of the freshest ingredients possible. Josephine’s lasagna is not to be passed up as it has ten sumptuous layers of pasta which are smothered with their homemade meat sauce, Parmesan and ricotta cheeses and topped off with generous slices of mozzarella that is melted under the broiler.
